The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Description: Suzie Jim Billie was born around 1900 in Collier County. Billie was a Seminole medicine woman and practiced her healing arts on the Big Cypress Reservation. She served as a master artist in the Florida Folklife Apprenticeship Program for two years, teaching indigenous medicine, song, and herbology to Mary Johns and her daughter, Agnes Cypress, and received a Florida Folk Heritage Award in 1985. Billie died in 2003 at 107 years old.
