The races are going on -- I went the first day with Francis. There has been but poor sport -- the Florida horses take the Purses. . . the Ball . . . was very agreeable, but it would have been much more so if so many gallant fellows had not been absent. . . Murat says he will join you in a few days. . . The girls want to add some postscripts to this, but they are not up yet this morning. . . The baby becomes worse every night.
