The Online Catalog allows searching and browsing of information about the Florida State Archives’ holdings of over 48,000 cubic feet of state and local government records and historical manuscripts. The catalog provides descriptions of over 3,400 collections and lists the contents of containers and folders in many of those collections. Title: Media 1979-2: Florida Folk Festival and Creek and Seminole History, May 1961; 22:52; B&W; sound & silent: Opens with an American Indian standing on the banks of the Suwannee River recounting the history of the Seminole Indians and the origin of the Suwanee River's name. He shakes a rattle and sings. Next, a group of four Indians sing in the native Seminole language. An elderly Seminole is translated as he explains how he uses a medicine branch to cure the mentally ill. A Caucasian woman asks a Seminole named Billie about his adventures hunting bear, deer, and turkey. Nancy, Mary Jane, and Molly Shore, the daughters of Frank Shore, sing Jesus Loves Me in Seminole. A group of young men dressed in traditional Greek attire dance. A few whip-crackers demonstrate tricks. There are additional shots of visitors touring the park.
